Definitely worth it, if you like driving with the top off. Here're some scenarios: 1. Let's say you are craving to go for a spin with the top off, but there's a chance of rain. You decide to leave the top on but when you later find out that it didn't rain. 2. When it starts to rain or the temp drops suddenly, with a HTC you just need to slow down to 35mph and close the top without getting out of the car. 3. No scratch on the roof, 100% guaranteed 4. Driving in the city and you suddenly feel the urge to get some free Vitamin D, you slow down to 35mph and voila. But after 15 mins, rains starts to falls, you slow down and voila. Don't you hate it when you drive a coupe in this situation. 5. IMO many coupe owners have stopped taking the roof off. It's too much work putting it back on. God forbids you forget to lock the latch inside. My fave interior color is Black (Dipped), lol

This was another great video Clarence. Not many have shown this cutaway. Loved your informative dialogue on this Beast. This ZR1 I would think has to be really close to $200k and that wouldn't be throwing the book at the options either. But we won't know until we know. Save the Wave 👋

My c8 coupe with the top off and the windows down doong 70mph and the noise is unbearable. The reason why i didnt buy the convertable i could t find one so i was forced to buy the coupe (which i still love )BUT its way to loud. I was upee disappointed as i love having the top off.

The thickness of the rotors does not mean better stopping distance, its to get rid of heat more efficiently when on a track and braking hard alot

Clarence do you know if the ZR1 has the ability to trickle charge the battery just like the stingray and Z06 has. Wasnt sure if Chevrolet dropped that feature because it no longer has a frunk?

Missed Carlisle this year. Thanks for showing the Chevy tent. I like the return of the Competiton Yellow. Looks like it has more "zing" in the color. Also like the fact that the Eray comes with Carbon Ceramic Brakes (about a $9,000 Value) and it doesn't have the $2,600 gas guzzler Tax that the Z06 arrives with. So that's a double bonus for the Eray. Also like the GT-2 seats you showed. That would also be my choice. And at the end I should have had you say "HI" to my old friend Harlin Charles!

Hysteria purple is growing on me. I think that yellow calipers would look good with Hysteria purple. Also,Hysteria exterior with habanero interior and habanero calipers(if they are available)might look good.

Duh....you can't see the engine (if there was a window) on a HTC when the top is down because the top is under the location where you want the window. All you'd see is the stored (when the top is down) top!

The real reason is dealers refuse to sell it. I walked right up to a dealership, with the full intent to purchase the vehicle, but I was looked up and down, laughed at, and told no test drives. So now someone else gets my money. I damn sure am not going to purchase a vehicle I've never driven. *Edited to make sure people know i'm not talking about the dealership in the video.

ZR1 Purple ZTK High wing if available and 1ZR, if not available then purple with 3ZR only Habanero interior orange brake calipers maybe Orange duel stripes. From seeing it in person would the blue wheels on the ZR1 go with the New Purple?

This video makes a simple concept of sell more ZO6s to get a larger allocation of ZR1 very complicated. Maybe C Garner need to take a class in communication. This 16 minutes video should have been a 3 minutes video.

That’s why I think they are going to put the ERay front wheel motor on the Z06 and call it the Zora. Also always wanted it a mid engine all wheel drive performance sports car.

Eray cons 1) price too close to z06 2) not saving a lot on gas which hybrid cars are supposed to be. It is not optimized well enough. 3) Can't turn on AC while in EV mode 4) Can't revert back to stealth mode after the engine fires off. 5) engines sound worse than z06 6) Drive like a Stingray 7) EV only mode range is only about 3 to 4 miles 9) Electric motor starts to slow down at 120mph. Slower than z06 on track and straight line drag racing after 130mph. 10) Electric battery is not big enough to complete a full lap on big tracks 11) Resell value may not be as great 12) LT2 Engine is not as special as LT6 13) 300lb heavier 14) Protential repair cost may be high after the warranty expires 15) Stealth mode is unavailable if the weather is below 50 degrees 16) It's still slower than Turbo S or Plaid

I've said it before, and I am saying it again, ERAY all day every day for me. And I don't care about engine noise!!! I like subtlety. As for the engineer, his opinion is spot on-Eray for year-round street cruising and road trips. And for the fans of noise and hitting the track, Z06...

This video removes any future buyers remorse (not that I would ever have any) with buying my soon to receive at the NCM 2024 Z06 HTC. Keep giving us these non biased raw videos.
